Intibuca, Honduras: A New Horizon for Coffee
We're proud to introduce coffees from our Intibuca Project in the Masaguara region of Honduras—an area outside the country's typical coffee spotlight.
This project is a partnership with approximately 250 small growers, each farming between 3–8 hectares, who are focused on quality. They all utilize their own micro-mills and African drying beds for optimal, slow drying (12-22 days). The entire group is supported by a dedicated quality specialist, Rony, who helps them continuously improve.
Meet Wilmer: The Chairman
One of our key partners is Wilmer, the chairman of the Intibuca group and one of the region's largest farmers. His mill sits at 1670 masl. Wilmer ensures the coffee's unique flavor profile by using meticulous processing, including:
Removing low-density floaters.
Pulping with a small motor-driven mill.
Using a dry fermentation followed by channel washing (a method he found superior to mechanical demucilaging).
By paying high premiums and committing to a transparent, long-term partnership, we are helping these farmers invest in their future and deliver extraordinary, distinct coffees.
Taste the potential of this emerging region!
